Forced heirship: Should the government mandate the distribution of individual wealth to offspring?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No it should not.

The government should not mandate the distribution of individual wealth to offspring. This is a persons private business. They worked hard to earn their money, and who they give it to when they die is their own business. They may have very good reasons for not giving it away to their offspring.

  • Those With Money Have Right to Distribute, Even Upon Death

If he government has a forced heirship policy, then there is no point in having wills made to distribute wealth after someone passes away. Estate law is complex, but the last will and testament of the individual should be honored within the law. If someone with millions of dollars wants to leave money to charity instead of children, that is the deceased's right to make that decision before the person dies.
