Gatling gun salesmen would go to Civil War battlefields in order to demonstrate their products in actual combat. Do people have the same level of commitment to business?
  • Yes but technology has changed marketing drastically

We cannot be certain of exactly what lengths various manufacturers and marketing firms go to but taking drastic lengths to sell a product or service are certain to be occurring worldwide. Nefarious leaders have even gone so far as to use military weapons on their own citizenry, and not just for the benefit of protecting borders, but also for generating profits.

  • Same level of commitment no longer common

Bearing in mind the fact that salesman of Gatling guns would go to actual battlefields in order to demonstrate their product, I feel confident in saying that such commitment to business is very rare if seen at all in the modern world. There may be some exceptions but I do not believe that this level of commitments is easy to find.

  • No, people today do not have the same level of commitment to their jobs as the Civil War-era Gatling gun salesmen.

No, people today are not as committed to business as were the Gatling gun salesmen during the Civil War. During the Civil War time period, people had very few to no protections for their jobs and were required to do many dangerous things that simply wouldn't be legal under today's employment regulations.

  • No, thats greed.

The case of Gatling salesmen they would go to civil war battlefields in order to demonstrate their products in actual combat amounts to greed and not commitment to business. That is the love of money with the Holy scripture describes as the route of all evil. Why would anyone start a war for sales reason?
