  • Gene Wilder Leaves a Lasting Legacy of Comedy

Gene has been credited with The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and SNL as an actor and in some cases as the idea person behind these hits which continue to be viewed by fans new and old alike. Blazing Saddles is from gasp, 1969 and still gets air time. What parent doesn't want their children to see the Willy Wonka experience through the eyes of Wilder to relive the magic. • Gene Wilder was one of the greats

The passing of Gene Wilder is one that will be felt from now on. His collaboration on movies and his acting in them is an art that cannot be reproduced. His manic and yet gentle soul allowed him a personality that will take many tries to come even close to. Mr Wilder may not get every once of credit but I do think that his legacy will allow him to be remembered by all who wish.

  • No, Gene Wilder does not publicly get enough credit for his work.

While Gene Wilder entertained adults and children for decades, the general public seems to give little thought to the genius behind his work. He was more than an actor memorizing lines and going through the motions of his parts. He wisely tempered his parts to tease the humor out of each scene by strategically working with other members of the cast rather than trying to chew the scenery. He wrote, he sang, he danced and he won awards. One thing he didn't do was toot his own horn. His fans loved his movies, and that was good enough for Wilder.

  • He didn't, but he will

Unfortunately, a lot of creative people don't get credit for their genius until they die and people begin to look back at their work. Gene Wilder was a genius, who wasn't given enough credit in his lifetime. Looking back, he will seen for the creative genius that he was, maybe more so that people even expect.
