I feel that genetic screening will allow born humans to
achieve more fulfilling and happier lives.
Scientists have isolated certain genes which predispose people to aggression
and criminality. There are also genes
associated with many hereditary diseases.
Genetic screening is good because it will allow us to green light only those
babies who have the highest odds for a healthy life.
Genetic screening would indubitably allow for overall more fulfilling and happier lives. The ability to genetically screen an unborn child for diseases that would cause an irrevocable death in the child's early years would save parents from a great deal of pain and suffering and ease an otherwise extensively costly situation. The financial burden alone (whether on the parents, state/federal government, or insurance companies paying for it is worth the controversy surrounding this topic. Some may argue that genetic screening cheats life, but it is truly just a product of Darwinism; the fittest survive. It would help overpopulation to an extent and allow for public education to not be burdened by those suffering from severe learning disabilities they must accommodate.
