The Final Judgment
11Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
You'll notice that death it self is destroyed forever. God leaves no soul resurrected. Some to paradise some to judgement. But none are forsaken.
To think that just because God is eternal then so must death is a false dichotomy. Every man has sinned, the punishment for sin is death. We will die because there is sin rooted in our being. But when we do die we will be judged and those who were given grace by faith will be saved from judgement. After this life we will either burn in hell or be with God in heaven. Both will be a state of consciousness and we will definitely be alive.
Maybe you don't understand infinite power or eternity really means death isn't a being or nothingness death only happens to mortals like us in our physical life not out spiritual life God doesn't die your mind can't comprehend existence it's not like God got shot or had cancer he can't die at all ever if you understood eternity at all you guys don't know crap
God put us on earth to live our lives. And last i remember it does not tlk about death in the bible it says god put us on earth he will be the one who takes it away. God lives in heaven eternal life he gives us. Death or the devil lives in hell eternal suffering wich is better life or suffering
sorry if any miss spelled words bad at spelling
If by death you mean... Your time on earth is up, then death wins, of course. Simply because death is inevitable.
But if by death you mean no more in existence, then I think God wins. Because we will live a happy life eternally in Heaven anyways and this contradicts this definition of death.
I choose to believe that God wins.
Even the judeo-christian god will fall to death. If God exists, then death preceded him. In the bible it is said that nothing existed before God. Death is nothingness and oblivion, meaning (in terms of personification) even he preceded God. God will eventually have to not necessarily fall to death, but be touched by him. I ask why did God not simply destroy death? There will be many theological answers, but one must ask if even perhaps that the almighty God could not! Many would argue that God himself would have reasons not to alien to humanity. But in the bible God is shown destroying Sodom and Gomorrah for not obeying him. What is alien to human nature about this? People now know that the universe will eventually be destroyed, becoming once again a void of nothingness. If this is true than i will ask, if this universe will fall, why would God do nothing to prevent it from falling, and if he does nothing, then how long will heaven survive?
No matter how long God has existed, Death has hidden in his shadow. Even if it was Satan who corrupted humanity, Death is responsible for collecting the souls. So, in the end, he is the one who reaps all the reward. He prospers the most from God and Satan's little war, blood shed on both sides by misinterpretation and direct involvement. And even God will eventually die. If mankind forgets him, shuns the concept, then God is worse than dead. And Death will still live on as the fate of those who lack his eternity.
Through strictly this statement then Death is more powerful. Simply because we are all alive, if we aren't alive then we are dead so death would win that way. Also if we are alive then Death IS guaranteed because realistically speaking the proof of a omniscient being called "God" is not provable so there's a chance he doesn't exist therefore death wins just through certainty. If you were to change the headline to "God vs Devil" then I would have to argue 50/50 because this argument would guarantee the others existence and right/wrong is in the eyes of the beholder. Therefore, these beings must both be equal powerful
Death is the shadow of gods light, there will always be a shadow following the light. Death has to exist to keep balance for all of the life created, why would there be a need for heaven, hell and Earth if death wasn't necessary, Death takes the living (when its their rime) and decides where they go (in some cultures) he is like the judge and jury of all so i personally would say he is more powerful than God and Satan.
First of all death Aka the grim reaper is God Yahweh was used to be known as Mavet or mot the god of death carries out war and death so deaths wins but on the other hand if this was death vs. Iehova, the Christian "god the father" then Iehova would win
Death is the void and darkness before creation, and it will be the void and the darkness after the final judgement ,nothing shall destroy him even an omnipotent deity like biblical God.This happens because Death can destroy laws of reality,so God can be defeated by Death.Death is the final force of all existence and it's above good and evil, this force is called Omega
Death cannot be eradicated, as without it, life itself can go into havoc. But to demonstrate it's power, no matter how much effort you put into lasting longer, everything has an end. It is a natural part of life, and is the one that keeps the void in check, as souls need it's guidance. Even Lucifer will end, as he was once an angel, and can be eradicated by the very power of Death. Remember, nothing is truly eternal.
God will die eventule som day but but death is enturnal.
We can say that god Will live hear inturnalt but IF a star exist that can die he vill exist as well. He cant die or sis to exist becuse he is enturnal no mater what. Good day pepole
Infinity itself is void, thus an eternal life is equivalent to nothing. Since in the Book of Genesis, God used "ex nihilo" as his way to manifest existence of the Universe itself, it is logically apparent that that "creation out of nothing" is a borrowed power from nothingness. In that regard, there's no further debate needed since God being everything got its existence and power from "eternity", hence is actually from nothingness or non-existence. God can't make death dead for death itself is dead, and any action or expression of divine will against the existence of non-existence or nothingness itself is tantamount to the non-existence of everything, thus leading to the death or non-existence of God himself.
Do you really think God Made Death? Because if you do then you are simply foolish. Death in My opinion can't be defeated because he is Amortal, That means he is dead and never was alive to begin with. I personally think that Death is one of God's Ancestors. I also think that Death is helping God with his plan by making sure we die.
