Instead of giving up he devoted the rest of his life starting organizations to help those with disabilities lead better lives. When one person stands up for the rights of another and resolves to improve a situation, they are leaving the world a better place.

When one person stands up for the rights of another and resolves to improve a situation, they are leaving the world a better place. Thanks to Ed Roberts' efforts, disabled people now have access to assistance on college campuses and a much more accomidating process than it was before Ed Roberts.

    Robert was effected by polio at the age of 14 leading him to be paralyzed from the neck down except for two fingers on one hand and several toes. He was scared of how other people thought of him.However, he later changed his view and fought to not let his disability prevent him from achieving his dreams. His example has inspired many other people.
