Governments and universities everywhere should compete to attract qualified students regardless of nationality or residence: Would universities benefit from the proposition?

Governments and universities everywhere should compete to attract qualified students regardless of nationality or residence: Would universities benefit from the proposition?
  • Yes, governments and universities should try to get anyone.

If you bring talented people into your country and into your university, there is a good chance that they might want to stay when they graduate and that would obviously be a benefit to the country. They also pay tuition and will be helping out the university in that way.

  • Education is for all

I think the universities everywhere should compete to attract qualified students regardless of nationaltiy or residence, for one there are many qualified foreign students, and not only will they help the US economy, the long term effects of educating them will be helpful for the USA and offering jobs, new technology, medicine, etc.
