    Christmas has become far too commercialized. It used to be about buying gifts at department stores, the original meaning of the holiday, but now it has religious overtones that feed very much into corporate greed. It used to be about buying gifts for people to personally consume, but now it's about Jesus Christ.

  • Black Friday Makes or Breaks Manufacturers

    The winter holiday season is all about shopping for frenzied retailers who will do anything to make a buck. If not for Black Friday shopping, many companies would go out of business every year. If prices on Black Friday and the holiday gift-giving season are so important, why not have prices this low year-round to encourage more buying? If anything, the commercialization of Christmas has shown how gullible consumers are regarding the price of consumer gifts.
