The Neocatechumenal Way has been damaging to the progression of the Catholic Church. For the pat century the Catholic Church has been struggling, not just in America, but in all parts of the world. And a large cause of the suffering of the church has to do with the Neocatechumenal way.
Yes, the development of the Neocatechumenal Way has damaged the progression of the Catholic Church and deteriorated it internally, because the church is trying too hard to fit in with each person, rather than standing up for what they believe in. The church is trying too hard, too fast, to make changes, and that is deteriorating their mission.
The progression of the Catholic Church has been slowing down for centuries now, realistically. As we get more modern, we get away from religion in general. Even great Popes like John Paul and now Francic can't reverse the damage done over the centuries and all across the world. People are moving on.
I do not believe the development of the Neocatechumenal Way has damaged the progression of the Catholic Church, nor has it deteriorated it internally. The Neocatechumenal Way has received criticism but Pope Francis has essentially put his seal of approval on it recently and worked to move these followers more in line with the Church itself. Essentially, I see the Catholic Church loosing more power on a regular basis but I believe this has more to do with secularization rather than what the church is doing internally.
The development of the Neocatechumenal Way has not damaged the progression of the Catholic Church or deteriorated it internally. The Neocatechumenal Way is simplay a movement in the Catholic Church of trying to form the lives of young Catholics productively. Although there has been some scandal as to its effectiveness and the rules it goes by, it has helped a great many poeple become stronger in their faith.
