Has the government gotten better at responding to disasters like the Oklahoma City tornado?

  • The government gotten better at responding to disasters like the Oklahoma City tornado.

The government is always trying to improve its readiness and its ability to respond to disasters. After some of the failings in the clean-up after Hurricane Katrina, the government and FEMA has shown incredible improvements. Disaster relief agencies have learned a lot from the past, and they are ready to deal with disasters now more than ever.

  • Not at all

We've seen the exact same tactics that they've had during Katrina and Sandy, if the damage is extensive and the death toll continues to rise, there's nothing that the government alone can do to solve everything. Natural disasters like these is when dependence on the government skyrockets, but even with all the services they cant keep up with everyone in need.

Restoration services for towns and families should be privatized.
