  • Dams creates lakes

Dams can create a lake which is a place for water activities. Most people think dams are bad , but this is one source of energy that will never go away. Dams are also the most purest way to create energy. Dams have many and a lot less cons than most people think.

  • Dams create fun

Besides creating electricity, hydroelectric dams can also help during times of a water shortage. These dams also help provide a relaxing environment of fun activities. They allow us to participate in fun activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, and even walking along side of the dam. Without a dam, these activities would not be as easily accessible.

  • Some dams should be knocked down

More than half of the United States dams are horrible and a disgrace to our environment. Most dams block fish migrations, trap sediment, reduce river levels, decrease oxygen levels in reservoir waters, and cause a direct impact on biological, chemical and physical properties. Some dams should be destroyed because they are causing much harm to not only our environment but also our way of living.

  • Dams are no place to play

Hydroelectric dams are not places to play, they are places to produce energy. They are not places where children should be playing, it's a place of high maintenance and work, to produce the energy our society needs. So why would anyone want to have recreational activities at such a place?
