If a women does not prosecute rape in America, is she supporting rape by allowing the suspect to have the freedom to rape other women?

  • If you don't do something about it, it will happen again.

If she doesn't prosecute the rapist in any way she's practically condoning it. She most likely took into consideration that it would happen again to another person, and didn't attempt to do anything about it. To me that is extremely selfish and careless. No matter the situation, the rapist needs to be punished.

  • They will rape again.

If a violent person rapes you then they will do it to others. If you do not at least try to punish them, then they will think that they can do the exact same thing to other women without facing any consequences for their actions. Some will rape again even after getting out of jail, but at least there was a period of time when they couldn't rape people. Many rapists will not rape again if they actually have to do hard time in prison and it works as a deterrent to stop their behavior.

  • She is Blameless

A woman who has been raped can not in any way be said to support rape. By its very definition, a rape implies that the victim had the act forced upon her, against her will, without her support. Nothing she did before the act supported the violation, and nothing she does after the act supports the violation. It was a violation that she did not choose, is not her fault, and had nothing to do with her in the first place, so the rapist's future acts will continue to have nothing to do with her.
