In light of his Super Tuesday performance, will the GOP be forced to choose Donald Trump as their presidential nominee?

  • Mitt Romney's loss may mean Donald Trump's win.

At the end of the 2012 election, the GOP had only one conclusion to draw, "The reason Romney lost is because he was campaigning for too long." So, they set to work shortening the campaign time for all GOP potential nominees. Based on the way the new system is set up, Trump's Super Tuesday sweep means an almost guaranteed win of the nomination.

  • It's too late to get rid of him

Donald Trump has a huge groundswell of electorates voting for him. They see him as the great white hope who can bring the country back to what they recognize. It is of course a delusion that they will have to reckon with. The establishment is doing everything in their power to slow his momentum down but he's already on his way to the nomination.

  • In light of his super Tuesday performance, Donald Trump is not a lock to be selected by the GOP as its nominee.

In light of his super Tuesday performance, Donald Trump is not a lock to be selected by the GOP as its nominee. There are several options whereby the GOP can still do an end-run around Donald Trump and selected candidate of its own choosing. That would be a disaster for the GOP.

  • The GOP has denied other popular candidates in the past

It is funny how the GOP was looking at Rubio and Cruz as their saviors. The Democrats, of course, are appalled at either. Trump is in a class by himself and it is going to take a miracle to shut him down. Even in the GOP shows some courage in the face of their delegates, Trump can still run as independent. This is a hot mess.
