In panic after Dallas gunfire, boy finds safety with stranger: Should all gun sales in the US be government controlled?

  • This is a must.

If gun sales in the United States were to be government controlled, then they would have to be controlled well. You have two arguments: arm everyone or arm nobody. And that's the way it has to work if you go either way. But for the time being I do think that the government should have a stronger say on who gets armed and who doesn't.

  • Yes it should

Yes, all gun sales in the Unites States should be government controlled. Proponents of more gun control laws state that the Second Amendment was intended for militias; that gun violence wwuld be reduced; that gun restrictions have always existed; and that a majority of Americans, including gun owners, support new gun restrictions

  • All gun sales should be government controlled

In the current state of the country all gun sales should be government controlled. It is currently too easy to possess a gun needs to be restricted to a greater extent. Everyone shouldn't be allowed to have a good in possession and there needs to be valid reasons. More strict gun laws are needed.

  • Government control is not the answer

Background checks, psychological evaluations and safety training. Limiting the types of guns that are available is also crucial - there is no reason for civilians to have access to assault or sniper rifles, but to put the whole process in the hands of the government is unwise. What we need are common sense regulations and restriction on the private sector.
