  • Irael to respond with troops.

The sending of troops by Israel in response to repeated missile attacks on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem is imminent. In addition to air strikes on Gaza, Israel has no choice, and will send in ground troops in order to maintain its safety and peace as a free state in the mideast.

  • A ground mission is inevitable

With the unrest in the middleast, there is little to no chance that troops will need to be deployed on the ground. Right now they have sent small projectile warning missiles as step one. Neither side has any intention of backing down and for this reason ground troops will need to intervene.

  • Until we are free from our oil addiction, yes.

So long as the world is enslaved by oil, we will continue to be involved in armed conflicts in the middle east.

When we, as a people, demand our political machines pour resources into alternative energy infrastructure, we will no longer need to worry about middle eastern border disputes or ridiculous hegemonic conflicts.

  • We don't want to go back.

No, a ground mission is not inevitable in the mideast, because we still are in many places in the world. We are weary of war, and being involved in foreign conflicts. Our budget cannot afford it, with all that we pay out in domestic services. People are not thrilled about paying to go back.

  • No, I don't believe it is.

I think that most Americans are sick of the fighting in the middle east and will refuse to go to war again. We should be sending aid and help to the civilians, but not more troops. All we will accomplish is stabilizing the country until we leave and then it will go back to the way it was all the while we lost many lives of American soldiers.
