  • Yes, it is

There are many ways to express an emotion in an artwork, the line, shape, texture, colour etc. The colour of artwork is the most important, it is the main way to express the emotion. An artist can draw something and if the same artwork is painted in 2 different colours it will look different and would express different emotions.

  • Yes, art is the language of emotions

Because the colors, and techniques the artists used when making an artwork can express their feelings and emotions of the artist(s). And artists can also express their emotions and feelings by choosing what to draw. And also in sometimes when artists are drawing people's facial emotion, they will not draw exactly the same facial emotions the people express. Instead, they will express their feelings by drawing people's facial emotions as their own emotions.

  • Arts, the path to your personal expressions

Visual arts are not only a language, but more like a communication way between different individuals. All artwork uses the elements of art and principle design non-purposely. Even if you are drawing a red coloured triangle, viewers might interpret it as danger or anger. That is why you can never find two similar art comprehensions among all, because the artwork shows a different meaning to everyone.
Not only the artwork, viewers might interpret the colours, lines, textures differently. As different use of language in english shows a different meaning with just a little change, it is also the same case when you are speaking of the expression of arts. Language shapes our understanding, while Art shapes our interpretation.
To me, art is an language. It is because through different kind of arts, we can have a conclusion of what the artist have "told" us through our clear observations. Using the famous artwork "Christina's world" by Andrew Wyeth, i have observed that the artist used emphasis on the girl laying on the grass; with the use of colour and space, i can understand that the painting's focus is on the girl, which have shown his personal expression towards the "symbols" in art.
Some other types of art such as pop art is also a reason why art is considered as language, some of the artworks of this type includes text . In Pop-Art, using wordings such as Pow ! And Pop ! In the painting, have already expressed the sense of being surprised and shocked, while using colours and shapes together have strengthened the message to the viewers.
Overall, together with all the symbols and tools in arts used to express our emotions. Art is defined as an unspoken language for me.

  • I think art is the language of emotions.

It is the only AOK (Area of Knowledge) that humans can use to express themselves to the fullest. This is not just for visual arts, but also music, literature, theatre, among others. They all contain the inner joys and struggles of the artists themselves, in many different words, colors, notes, and lines. This could imply that art is the language we use to express emotion. The artists most often express themselves through the color, tone, and whatever is in the painting for that matter. Once we perceive it all, then it affect our emotion.

  • Not a language

How is art THE language of emotions when emotions comes from human being. If you can use a form a art to express emotions without presenting a facial expression of a human the I will gladly except. Plus its the emotions that gives the inspiration not the art that gives emotions.

  • Art is too general a term to ask that question.

Art is too general a term to ask that question of if art is the language of emotions. To the conscious mind, the visual arts are the language of reason and creative theory-formation as where the acoustical arts is most defiantly the language of emotions. Music is more likely the venue to stir our emotions as where the visual arts are the venue that intellectually inspire us!
