Is "Black Lives Matter" a terrorist organization?

Asked by: SanFranForta
  • What would Martin Luther King think?

King believed that all humans should be equal regardless of race. This is not what BLM thinks. BLM thinks that blacks should have more rights than everyone else. If King was still alive he would be disappointed that there are still people in the world that think they are better than everyone else.

  • Simply referring to Wikipedia supports this notion.

"There is no universal agreement on the definition of terrorism. Various legal systems and government agencies use different definitions. Moreover, governments have been reluctant to formulate an agreed upon and legally binding definition. These difficulties arise from the fact that the term is politically and emotionally charged. To avoid this kind of confusion, the most common definition of terrorism is used, which includes the following:

It is the use of violence or threat of violence in order to purport a political, religious, or ideological change.

It can only be committed by non-state actors or undercover personnel serving on the behalf of their respective governments.

It reaches more than the immediate target victims and is also directed at targets consisting of a larger spectrum of society.
It is both mala prohibita (i.E., crime that is made illegal by legislation) and mala in se (i.E., crime that is immoral or wrong in themselves)."

Black Lives matter has already covered all of this through their murdering of Police Officers and destruction of local businesses, along with their sectarian and divisive nature which thrives on aggression conflict it has shown itself to be a uniquely selfish organisation built on narcissism without any true consideration for wider society. Its truly saddening that this organisation stands in direct opposition to everything that Martin luther King stood for in terms of his general conduct and peaceful manner. King was a true egalitarian, Black Lives Matter as an organisation are not.

  • I believe that it is.

Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization because it refutes all the things that Martin Luther King Jr. Stood for. Rights for all humans. BLM protestors have taken to the streets doing the following things. Halting traffic causing people to be late for work, caused unnecessary violence, and cause uncomfort for the people around them. Another thing BLM stands for, disbanding the Police Force. Do you realize what this will do? There will be nobody enforcing the law. People could bust through your door, take all your stuff, hurt your family, and nobody can do anything about it. The things that happened in the past should stay in the past, we evolved from that. We are a much more civilized society then we were over 100 years ago.

  • Depends on what you mean mate.

If the denotation of terrorist organization in this particular question is negative or in association with immoral or unjust hateful activities, then i believe you're wrong, but if not, and you do mean it as they stand for using voices and acts to combat hate towards the black community then i'd agree. We all should have some sort of idea what the movement is about, justice and equity, if someone doesn't want that then ok, but don't stand in the way of people who are trying to better themselves and the world because then you become what you hate but in a very negative filter. In my opinion. But if people believe people in the movement are going about it wrong then tell them to offer their way of going about it, otherwise they aren't trying to help the movement. Honestly it's ultimately ok to be presently racist in my opinion, racism can be changed to cultural respect and ultimately true love, hate is a different disease.

  • If they're terrorists for fighting for racial equality, so be it

They are not though. They advocate greater accountability of the police, more support for black families effected by police violence and economic support for the poor black neighbourhoods which, through racism and police violence have become worse and worse progressively. They are also against the increasingly racist police force in many parts of the US which has gotten more racist and more violent for a while now, probably in reaction to Obama, a black President, coming into power
