Is climate change affecting maize production in Zambia?

  • Zambia Climate Change

There is a slow warming of the global world according to Senator Gore's reports displayed with his many videos about global warming. Global warming is not good for the territory of Zambia production of maize and corn products. Corn requires irrigation for agricultural production of which global warming hinders significantly.

  • Technology midigates the effects

Maize production has not really been a serious problem, with or without climate change, because technology has mitigated the detrimental effects of climate change related to crops. Climate change, while very real and a long term cause for concern, is not advanced enough to cause serious crop disruption, while GMOs and other technologies can ultimately increase yield.
