The European Union took a strong stance that no nation that was undergoing debt problems was going to be left behind, funds were given to nations in need and stability was a key priority, in the United States there was constant bickering over whether or not to let the United States default on its debt or not and at one point went over the debt ceiling limitation, so while the European situation was more dire then the United States I think Europe in general had a better response.
Europe has been using austerity to handle their debt crisis. The US started out doing the right things with the stimulus package they passed. The economy was moving in the right direction, but then congress threatened not to raise the debt ceiling the first time. It pretty much killed most of the momentum the economy had going for it. It has been austerity every since, just like most of Europe is doing. The faster you get people jobs, the faster we fix the debt crisis. You can't do that by only cutting things.
No, Europe has the luxury on depending on nations that are doing well to
mask the problems of nations that are near bankrupt. Look at the
countries of Spain and Greece for instance. There are a lot more
problems in Europe than it seems.they are going through the same thing that we are.
Europe is in no way handling its debt crisis better than the United State of America. Europe has the luxury on depending on nations that are doing well to mask the problems of nations that are near bankrupt. Look at the countries of Spain and Greece for instance. No, they are going through the same thing that we are, and they are going through the same trouble that we are in trying to get up out of it. I think that they are not doing any better in the way that the are handleing their cricis that us.
