  • As much as gravity.

Evolution happens, deal with it. We are all descended from common ancestors. The Theory of Evolution is the most broadly supported scientific theory in the history of science. We might still discuss some of the details, but there is no real debate that it happens. I urge any evolution deniers to take a biology course at their local community college.

"Evolution is almost universally accepted among those who understand it, almost universally rejected by those who don't."

  • As close as can be.

Philosophically speaking, nothing can really be proven as a fact. If we really want to look at it deeply, we can't even prove the statement that "A fact is a fact" as being factual. However, for all intents and purposes, evolution is as much of a fact as gravity or the travelling of light is.

  • The religious need to get over it already.

Common descent is supported by a mountain of hard scientific evidence. Over 150 years worth of research all backs up evolution. The folks who deny evolution are basically the ignorant and uneducated, the equivalent of those who denied the Earth revolved around the Sun. One might as well just deny gravity, which has less hard evidence than evolution.

  • Common descent is a fact for all the life forms we have checked.

This includes Humans, Chimpanzees, bacterium like Escherichia coli and many more, where we know that they have a common ancestor. There is still the possibility that life emerged more than one time on earth and that in some hidden location life forms exists with a distinct common ancestor than ours. We can only ensure we have common ancestors with life forms we know of.
So one may answer no to the question.

  • It remains a theory.

As a graduate student in Biomedical Sciences, I recognize the many scientific discoveries and advancements that the theory of evolution and natural selection has contributed to. If we hold the theory to stand as fact, however, this limits further discovery. There exists emerging evidence that there is more to this theory than what we know now, and that natural selection plays but one role in biological development. Just because a theory has powerful predictable power, not does make it immune to anomalies. Let's keep our minds open and embrace new discoveries.

  • It is a lie

There is no evolution, Charles Darwin was working for the illuminati, we were created by God directly, We in fact are God and are the creative force of God, We were originally immortal beings and lived in a perfect world with the animals (who were also immortal) and there was no death, disease, or suffering, once the lizard people came, then that all changed, because they genetically modified the world into what it is now, and made us what we are now, we did not evolve we devolved.
