In Kenya it is quickly becoming a common sight to see individuals complaining about how they lost good amounts of money due to sports betting. Sadly some are even foregoing meals in order to place bets with a hope of winning big. The combination of youth unemployment and gambling is a powder keg just waiting to erupt. The dangerous side of gambling is beginning to emerge as a boda boda operator John Muchanga killed two people in a Casino at Eastleigh after losing Kshs. 30, 000 while gambling. As for sports betting, The fact that you can register and bet from the comfort of your home is a huge contributor to the quick uptake of sports betting in the country.
They provide booze which is illegal they take advantage of the elderly , i am dealing with this now , they entice them every way with food , prize days . All these small amusement places in swfl need to be closed they don't have the licenses to be doing what they are , where is the federal trade commission at?
Sure you can win. But more often than not you'll lose, and when you won't stop you could easily burn everything you have in desperation. There's a reason why the state has ads for help for the gambling addicted(even though they were the ones to legalize and essentially run it in the first place).
My husband sports bets all the time he says it's his job but yet his mother pays all his bills because he loses all the dam time and then he blames others for his losing. I can't tell how much he's losing 1,000,s of dollars for years. If it was a real job he would have been fired a be long time ago. It has ruined our relationship in so many ways, he can win but loses it right back, he can't control himself, he said he is not addicted only people who play poker and slot machines are degenerate gramblers he's delunsional
I am 25 i started gambling when i was 18 and now i just cant stop. I have self excluded myself from the casino, i have seen a therapist, i have read a book on how to stop gambling but i still keep gambling every last paycheck until i am flat broke. My father is a gambler and he lost his family, many properties and everything in his name to gambling. My mother is well off but i can see it is hurting her to see me go down the same path as my father. I am not a complete idiot i went to good schools, showed promise in my education and attended university for a time. I wish i could stop and make a life formyself but it just keeps going on and on...
Money, Properties, and even your relationship to your family or love ones will be at risk. That's why if ever you gamble and still have some senses in you, I really suggest that you should stop it. Because we don't know, anytime soon, the money you have worked hard (or received), properties, and even family will just vanish in an instant. Many people can support this opinion.
I have seen people play and they just suffer through and waste a lot of their money just on gambling. If you need money, get a good enough job and work hard to earn it by yourself.
Don't get addicted by it, It is a very very bad habit indeed.
I have lost every bit of money i ever earned in the past eight years including my 401k and settlements. The thing is you dont realize you have already had anything the slots will pay many times over until its gone. Slots are the worse becouse they toy with you up and down but eventually all the way town. I live in a small truck rear compartment and lost my only daughter twice. She doesnt have any living relatives on her mothers side so i became a deadbeat dad becouse i couldnt stop going o matter how much i lost or how painful. Now my daughter is looking for an apartment with some new boyfriend becouse the money i was suppose to use for life went to these evil places that rob the poor for a promised chance to regain some. The chance never comes. Gambling will leave you depressed and suicidal the people who have never been addicted say its a positive thing to have a casino. Only the ones who have lost it all know how false that statement to be.
I have been an addict for 10 years. Before gambling i was in control of all finances, gambling rewires your brain, there is you,and then there is your addiction, that wants to be fed,as it gets stronger very fast, its in control of you,it has taken 8 years to be free from this
I have been there, trust me. Gambling will leave you in the cold. The casino does not care about you. They are in business to make a profit, and they will.
I have won for the moment only to give it back - then some. Embarrassing situations of not having a cent to my name. Think about that. A grow man that risks his family's future on a gamble.
Everything will be ok if you stop. Just put it out of your life. When you hear the stories of winning just move on. It's fantasy and it will rob you of your life and the lives of the ones you love. STOP. What more can I say. Trust me, it is not worth it.THE END.
Gambling does not ruin anyone's lives, it just depends on whether the person DECIDES to bring it on or just ignores it. BUT if people are stupid then they will easily fall into the trap but seriously it just depends on how smart the person is to let gambling take over their life or ignore it.
Gambling is a recreational game. Although, some do get addicted, that would be like an obese man eating butter. He is addicted to butter and eats it all the time. It is bad for him but he has gotten so use to butter and eats it so much he has ran out. Now he's committing crimes just to get butter and stealing from his family. Now.. We should make butter illegal. That would not be fair to everyone else using it responsibly. Now, can gambling destroy a someone's life? Why not ask, is that person the one using gambling as a scapegoat for their ruined life.
