  • There should be more safeguards.

There is no indication that more thorough background checks or stricter gun laws would lead to the loss of our basic 2nd Amendment rights, but if a man or woman is too hazardous to be allowed on a commercial airline, they shouldn't be permitted to own a firearm. Anyone trying to buy a gun should have a mandatory background check that dives deep into that person's history of mental clarity, criminal records, and other indicators that he/she is a danger. If a background check comes back showing that this individual is dangerous, the gun should be held from the customer, and a second, even deeper background check should be conducted.
