Many schools are not teaching cursive writing anymore with everything being digital these days.
How can being taught how to communicate without electricity be a useless skill? If you had no phone, keyboard or other such electronic device and you need something from someone else and cannot talk (for whatever reason), handwriting could be the difference between life and death. Even though there are now keyboards,typing and texting handwriting will never become truly extinct.It will actually become more of an art than a form of communication.if someone wants to add a liitle class to their correspondence then they will choose handwriting over the more modern choices of typing or texting.
Handwriting may have gotten worse since computers have gone mainstream, but writing is still taught in schools, so everybody develops their own unique handwriting that largely stays with them after a certain age. Handwriting is less important today, which isn't a bad thing - people should be judged by their ideas, not how they're presented.
