Is it a good idea to create and enforce gun control laws harshly?

  • Gun laws should be enforced harshly

If gun laws where stricter less people would die. I am doing this for a project and i have found loads of evidence showing that gun control is poor in many countries and it is a serious problem that needs to be fixed . I understand they are used for self defense but somebody needs to come up with a better alternative.

  • I think its a good choice

Gun rights are needed to be enforce to keep deaths from happening but people need gun to protect themselves like in bad cities it just life.... Keep up for there selves defense. The government is too full of shit our life's are in danger when a person comes up to another school or movie screening with a gun .... Grow up government

  • People are being killed!!!! How cant their be gun control

There are plenty of innocent people who are killed by guns. The number of people killed by guns is large and we should not let that number rise. Law enforcement should be able to have weapons because they are putting their life in danger for others. There should be more education of guns to consumers who are purchasing them. There should be background checks to purchase any type of firearm.

  • Honouring The Gun

I think that we should be give the gun thorough honour and respected there should be more information on guns and there effects on the human body. We need a system were the guns given through honour and respected. There need to be test and checks to make sure people deserve the weapon.

  • Gun control technology

So we have new electronics every other months, and people still not invent some kind of censoring system that comes built-in a gun. We all need to protect ourselves, i get that..But how about a detector in the house or inside a car that controls the gun. Like when a gun is out of certain range it will be unusable. Government just need to spend couple bucks "invest for a better future" Wifi gun with Wifi ammo. Stop producing supplies of old ammunition. Worst could happen is couple more shooting, within couple years. All that would be gone, since there's no more ammo to do so.

People coming up with excuses like, "We the people! Need guns to protect ourselves from danger." Then OK, give them guns that only work within the range of their car or house. Since it's illegal to bring a loaded gun on them anyways. They don't need it at the park, they don't need it at some school, or somebody elses' house. They get their guns (for safety), we get our real safety.

  • It is a good idea to create and enforce gun control laws harshly.

It is important to control the avaibility of guns in order to keep everyone safe. There should be stricter laws governing who can own guns and these laws should be enforced harshly. It is better to have strict laws than to allow another shooting rampage to happen at a school.

  • Yes, strict gun control is a good idea

No matter how many times they say otherwise, gun enthusiasts are wrong when they argue that fewer guns = fewer gun deaths. That's still common sense, it always has been. Stricter laws won't eliminate all gun violence, no one single thing can because this country and its ridiculous love for firearms has made it too wide a problem. They would help and undeniably lower incidents, though.

  • There should not be laws against the use of guns.

There should not be laws forbidding the use of guns as long as the person carrying does not have a criminal record and is carrying legally. Citizens should be allowed to carry weapons and they should do so legally. Those who do not follow these laws should be punished accordingly.

  • No, guns mean freedom.

No, it is not a good idea to create and enforce gun control laws harshly, because guns are part of freedom. People need guns for hunting. They also need guns for protection. We should not enforce gun laws harshly, because if all people were able to own guns, they would be less likely to have their homes broken into.

  • Plainly don't make sense to take guns away?

People with bad intentions to harm people are always going to get their hand on a gun, their is no stopping them. So making it harder or impossible for law biding citizens to get guns so they can possibly stop those bad people don't make any sense. And for people who live in remote areas like me, the average time for a cop to arrive on scene is 24 minutes. It takes 0.324 seconds for someone to put a bullet in someone to stop them from hurting more.

  • It would really not be helping anything.

People kill people; it's a fact of life and we have to deal with it. I've only had to research this topic for a couple of days to know that stricter gun laws would do close to nothing. It may make it HARDER for people to commit crimes without easy access to guns, but if it is their goal is to harm people, they will do it anyway. Stricter gun control laws, also, have no effect on the rate of crime in countries. One of the countries with the strictest gun control laws, is Mexico, and they have among the highest crime rate. Japan has some of the lowest gun control laws, and they have one of the lowest crime rates. You'd be taking away the guns from the "good guys". Wanna know why you haven't heard stories where someone has stopped a robber/killer/criminal with their own gun? Because NO ONE DIED. It wasn't tragic, and in general, the news only shares the stories about tragic deaths. And as for accidental gun deaths, more people die in medicinal accidents than gun accidents. Should we ban doctors? No, cause that's just plain dumb. Bad people will be bad people. Get over it.

  • Bad idea to enforce strict gun laws!!!

It is not a good idea to have strict gun laws.. In short, guns do not kill people; it's the people behind it who do. Why should everyone else has to suffer? Drugs are illegal, but does that stop everyone else from doing them? The idea behind stopping gun violence is a good one; however, as there are bad people in this world, we as a society need to protect ourselves and our rights.

  • What idiot would push for gun control? PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.

Why don't you just ban humans? I mean, they ARE the problem. Screw your gun control nonsense. You are the problem. All of you damned communists thinking you've made a strong case for an outrageous proposal. GO HOME, YOU'RE DRUNK! I NEED 10 MORE WORDS SO I'M GOING TO RAMBLE.

  • Guns are not dangerous! The people using hem are!

Guns are not dangerous without a dangerous person behind them. The so called "Assault Rifles" are no more deadly than a .22 pistol in the right hands. The only reason people are scared of assault weapons is because they look scary even though they are a little bit safer that a normal looking rifle, because most of them have carry handles which makes them safer to handle. They also have pistol grips which makes it safer for the law abiding person, who might be trying to stop a criminal, to use.

  • Gun Control will only keep guns out of the hands of the "good guys"!

If we take away all guns from the public, the criminals and terrorists will still be able to get guns illegally and there will be no one to stop them if no "good" people have guns. Even if law enforcement and military have firearms we will still be in danger of "bad" people with guns. You will have no way of protecting yourself without privately owned firearms.

  • The Federal government enforces the gun laws on us U.S citizens.

I don't think there should be NO Gun laws, but the second amendment clearly states that We have the right to bare firearms. I Don't see why people are against guns so much. I can see why you say guns make people kick the bucket, But This is my opinion, and i'm sticking with it.
