Is It Less Expensive to Conduct an Election Using Electronic Voting Machines Compared to Optical Scan Voting Systems?

  • Much Less Expensive

It is much less expensive to conduct an election using electronic voting machines compared to the older optical scan voting machines. Whether the election is national, local, or state wide, use of the technology in the electronic machines makes counting votes faster and easier and requires far fewer man hours than optical scan machines.

  • Yes it should be

I do think it would be less expensive to use an electronic voting machine rather than an optical scan voting system because an optical scan voting system must have to require lots of money to construct considering it will be more technological and then they would have to manufacture so many.
