  • Your choices should be your own.

Yes. As long as you are not hurting anyone. Same restrictions should apply to drugs as it does to alcohol. Don't "drug" and drive, don't drink and drive. Respect others and do it in the privacy of your own home, don't go into public on drugs. If you want to ruin your body, its yours to ruin. On top of that the Government spends roughly 41 billion dollars of our tax money on the non existent "war on drugs". They are making 1.6 billion dollars in arrests and putting thousands of people behind bars costing citizens around 39 billion dollars a year or roughly 31,000$-60,000 (depending on state) per inmate per year. This is our tax dollars at work. The Government is forgoing roughly 47 billion in revenue they could obtain from taxing drugs. Crime rate would drop because people wouldn't be killing each other for drugs, bad transactions etc. More people kill eachother over the activity of dealing than using the drug itself.

  • It is their business

As long as they are not harming anyone else it is one's own business to manage their own health. No one else has any say in any else's personal actions that do not harm anyone or violate anyone's rights. If a person wishes to risk their own health by using drugs, fine; if someone else does not, also fine.

  • It is okay.

Assuming you mean drugs like weed, meth, cocaine, and what not, yes. It is okay as long as they do not harm others in the process. In my opinion, they can do what ever drug they want to inside of their own house and out of public areas. We do not need drug using undesirables walking the streets.

In short, it is fine if they do it in their homes and are not harming any one.

  • Lets define the motion

In my opinion its ok to use drugs used for medicinal purpose. Although, drugs for pleasure is just a waste, but honestly its people's choices. They want to live their life so let them. It isn't like smoking that harms the environment it just hurts themselves.

Coolkid1231 you have some really good points, but I feel that your definition of the motion is taking drugs to the excess level or taking it into extreme use. When the motion is just about taking drugs in general.

  • But it's usually not a good idea

It's OK just like it's OK to eat lots of junk food and watch lots of tv. It's OK because it's your body and your life. BUT typically it's not a good idea. There are exceptions of course. The occasional glass of wine particularly red wine has shown health benefits. Marijuana shows benefits for many conditions and evidence that it can shrink tumor cells. But then using it too much can make you way too lazy.

My advice is to know what you're doing. Be aware of the potential risks and benefits and read between the lines of studies both positive and negative about any drug. Generally listen to your doctor but also do your own research since pharmaceutical companies often overpromote a drug that later turns out to have terrible side effects.

  • Their choice really

I am against drugs, but drugs is very much like drinking. You can't really harm other people, and you should have the right to do whatever you want to yourself. There should be restrictions, but I think it should be legalized because its your own body. No one has the right to force you into what they think is good for you.

  • They should not.

They should not use drugs becausethey will get sick and ruin the earth. They will also start hurting people that did not do any thing to them but just looked at them and i think they should be put in jail for assaulting somethat did nothing to them at all.
