Is it possible that religion is a placebo, or has a placebo effect?

Asked by: Nebelous
  • Yes it can

In many practices, chiefly prayer, religion can act as a placebo. It can boost your self confidence, make your mind exaggerate everything that is relatively good in your life, or make you feel better. Faith healing were actually explained using the placebo effect. So, yes, religion can be a placebo.
