Yes, of course cops should be punished for wrong doing. The majority of police officers are good citizens who strive to do their jobs and keep us safe. However, there are bad apples in any profession, and they should be punished to the full extent of the law for their crimes.

  • Yes, it is right to punish cops for wrong doing.

Yes, I believe that is right to punish cops for wrong doing. The job of the police is to uphold and enforce the law. This does not mean that they are above the law. Policemen are humans and members of society just like anyone else. Therefore, they should be held accountable for the actions just like any other member of society.

  • Yes, it is right to punish cops for wrong doing.

It is right to punish anyone for wrongdoing, no matter their profession or role in society. I would argue that police officers should be scrutinized and punished more harshly for their wrong doings because of their voluntary role as the rule enforcer of society. With that role comes a lot of responsibility and power and that needs to be checked and supervised.

  • They are not above the law.

Nobody is above the law, especially the ones that are in charge of enforcing it. It is a job just like any other out there only it carries a lot of responsibility. When it is your duty to uphold the law and you break the very laws you are supposed to be upholding you should be punished to the full extent of that law. Nobody is above the law.
