Is it true that nothing old is appreciated nowadays?

  • On average, I'd say yes, but there are a lot of lovers of the classics, antiques, ancient/old architecture, art etc out there.

    Yes, it may be common in today's consumer culture, but the population of people who go against this is nothing to laugh at.
    To say that nothing old is appreciated would refute thousands of people's personal interests, careers, even their identities. Don't forget that cultures often have very old and ancient traditions which people can be immensely, even violently protective of.
