Is Joe Calzaghe the greatest boxer of all-time regardless of weight class?

  • Held Belt Longest, Retired Undefeated

Although Joe Calzaghe wasn't a heavyweight boxer like Mike Tyson, Vladimir Klitschko and Muhammad Ali, pound for pound he is probably one of the greatest boxers ever to fight in the modern era. He retired undefeated and held the world championship for super middleweights for more than 10 years. Calzaghe defended his title 21 times. The Welshman can easily be touted as one of the best boxers of all time.

  • No, he is not.

Joe Calzaghe does not even make a top ten list for all time boxing greats. Ali and Frazier were both more exciting boxers. Mayweather is a terrible boxer in terms of entertainment, but you cannot argue his results. Sugar Ray Leonard was a much better boxer than Joe Calaghe as well.

  • He is not.

Joe Calzaghe is not the greatest boxer of all time, regardless of weight class. There are too many other great boxers that have been on other weight classes and at different times to be able to make that decision for anyone, and that includes Joe Calzaghe, Muhammid Ali and George Foreman.

  • It’s obvious that Joe Calzaghe is not the greatest boxer of all-time regardless of weight class.

It’s obvious that Joe Calzaghe is not the greatest boxer of
    all-time regardless of weight class.
Everyone who’s anyone knows that the best pound for pound boxer of all
time has to be Floyd Mayweather. His
track record speaks for itself. And,
that’s before we even talk about how good of a businessman he is.

  • Joe Calzaghe is not the greatest boxer of all-time

Joe Calzaghe is not the greatest boxer of all-time regardless of weight class. This is because of the fact that Muhammad Ali was the greatest boxer of all time. Muhammad Ali is seconded by Mike Tyson. Joe Calzaghe is not even close to being the greatest boxer of all-time when compared to these two men.
