  • Yes i think that life today is easier than in the past

I think that life is easier now than in the past because we now have devices that can help us communicate with each other. Another way devices can help us is by making it easier for us to use and send copies of papers, rather than copying down each word on sperate pieces of paper

  • Our life is better than past

Most all of our ancestors lived in poverty and often faced starvation, incurable diseases, infant mortality, and short life expectancies, even of adults. Today, even the poorest American families enjoy a roof over their heads, a solid floor under their feet, running water, a flush toilet, and electricity. Those were all unimaginable luxuries, far beyond the dreams of our ancestors, only a few generations ago.

Don Boudreaux of MRUniversity (an online educational service not affiliated with any traditional college or university) explores the question economists have been asking since the era of Adam Smith: what creates wealth? On a timeline of human history, the recent rise in standards of living resembles a hockey stick, flatlining for all of human history and then skyrocketing in just the last few centuries.

Without specialization and trade, our ancient ancestors only consumed what they could make themselves. Today, the majority of us are employed at producing just one or a very few

  • Only in technology and Science

When it comes to technology and science we're way better than our parents and grandparents, but everything else we're worse.
Nowadays it's way harder to get a job, you can't just get out of house, pick the newspaper and go to places and get one like that, employers are more picky about who they hire and very judgemental, also it's very easy to get fired if the employer "just feels like it".

Also in where is Society concerned, it's terrible too, no values, no morals, families aren't really families now, at least like they were back 30-40 years ago, people are more rude and cold, no one helps that much anymore, and there are a lot of fakers and backstabbers too.

The "lived in poverty and often faced starvation, incurable diseases, infant mortality, and short life expectancies" bullshit excuse is a crap cop out, true we might have all that back then, but also people were happier more often than now, they enjoyed life and knew they always had someone to support and comfort them, unlike nowadays.
We've grown too materialistic, we have too much stuff distracting us and warping our minds.
We live in a world filled with too much stress and pressure the like it have never existed...

  • It is more complicated

In today's society missing 1 minute of school can ruin ur whole life. Walking out of the classroom at the wrong time when the teacher is explaining something important can be the difference between having a great life or one always in debt. If u walk out of the classroom at then wrong time you could end up failing school in which you retake the year but never get into the Uni you want so u drop out then get fired from your job and can't find another one because you have no qualifications and no money to get back into uni.

  • Technology is a problem

Life was better in the past because now we have technology that makes everything more complicated between people and the world. Nobody knows how to communicate in this world anymore because everyone is too busy on their phones. Also people like to make other people jealous on social media. There is also the cyberbullying problem.

  • Removal from Nature

Yes, technology has made a lot of things 'easier' but many constructs of the past, like a 'job for life' are gone! Life nowadays is more competitive, some would say too competitive and no wonder mental illness is at an all time high as technology pushes us further from our nature.

  • Life in the past and life now

Over the last century, there have been many significant changes in the way we live. Obviously, it is hard to compare the life of the ancient people and the life of the people of the twenty first century because so many changes have occured. However, even the changes that have taken place over the last ten years are amazing.

To start with, people were not able to travel such long distances in such short period of time. The planes were not that popular then because they used to be a very expensive means of transport. Nowadays, we have become very mobile. We have fast and comfortable cars and more and more people also travels by plane. Moreover, in the past people had to work much harder as they did not have tools which made their work easier. Today, most of the difficult and dangerous work is done by computers and other machines. In the past the conditions of living were not as comfortable as they are now. There were not bathrooms and running water in many houses, besides many people could not afford household appliances like fridge, TV set or vacuum cleaner because they used to be luxurious goods. Another difference between living now and in the past is the fact that nowadays the access to education is much easier. In the past, there were fewer schools and the quality of the education they provided was much poorer. Besides, nowadays it is much easier to find the educational materials that you need thanks to the Internet. Another difference is that in the past there were not that many sources of entertainment. Therefore people used to spend more time with their friends.

All things considering, it is an obvious conclusion that life has changed significantly in the last couple of years. It is definitely much easier now however, it is not easy to decide whether it is also better. The scientific achievements and technological progress are amazing. We still create new inventions which simplify our lives. On the other hand, however, life now is much faster and more busy than it used to be in the past. Moreover, it has also become more dangerous. The standard of living has definitely improved but it can be discussed whether the quality of our lives is also better.
