Logic and Accuracy testing is an accurate method of assuring the proper function of electronic voting machines as it creates a system which is easily tested and maintained and able to be relied on. This type of testing ensures that the tests are quick and easy to do and difficult to bypass if a bypass is attempted.
It is vital and effective to have testing done on electronic voting machines before an Election. With logic and accuracy testing you can ensure that a particular electronic voting machine is producing the results you want it to make. If, within the testing, you find out that the voting machine is producing the opposite results (a vote for one produces the other) it can cause a huge effect on the overall voting system. Along with logic and accuracy testing it is crucial to have human interaction after the Election to count up the votes side-by-side with the automatic reading machines to ensure that the results are sound. The only idea against logic and accuracy testing is that it might take a long time especially coming on the hours and days before an election but I feel that the amount of hours put in to ensure the machines are sound is necessary for a sound Election.
