Is marriage still relevant in modern society?

Asked by: frederi
  • It's a symbol of a meaningful relationship.

Marriage signifies that two people want to be together for the rest of their lives, "until death do we part" (although it seems that this usually isn't the case). It's a commitment to each other and a showing of true love. Going through with marriage is a sign that the couple is sure that their relationship will last forever, proof that both of them are truly committed to each other. So yes, marriage is still relevant in modern society.
