  • We need security not privacy!

If we re attcked by terrorists then who will save us? Our internet history? No the national security will help. If we are held hostage and we need to leave and the only way to do so is to let them see our web history the national security could come in and save us. Not our internet history. And that is why security is more important than privacy.

  • The Government Doesn't Care, If You're Not A Terrorist

When the government is conducting an investigation, it would be a waste of resources for them to look up every McDonald's cashier a potential terrorist has come in contact with. If you are doing nothing wrong, the government has no intentions of invading your privacy, it's just too expensive for them. There are so many of us that I doubt they care what normal people do anyway.

  • Can't have privacy without security.

Would you rather protect your emails or your nation? I think the answer is obvious. The NSA has been recording phone calls sine 1992. The nation as a whole never knew of their actions until 2013 when 29 year old Edward Snowden leaked top secret information. Since then, the nation has been at an uproar on weather or not they are comfortable with the government tapping into phone calls and checking messages. The government is only trying to protect us from the possible chance of another devastating terrorist attack like 9/11. It's not like the government is going to knock on your door and tell your parents you are in a relationship with an older guy. They will know what is going on in your life, but unlike Edward, they won't leak your information to the world. Your privacy is still privacy, the government are the only ones that know. And think about it, you are 1 citizen in a nation with millions of people. Do you honestly think that the government is going to read through every individual's messages. I don't think so. Privacy comes at a price.

  • Are u hiding something?

National security is more important than privacy because it helps protect us against potential terrorism and crimes, and without them “getting up in our business”, we would be in much more danger today. Plus, it is important to look at the nation as a whole when considering national security and privacy.

  • National security matters

National security is more important than the need for privacy because with today's technology the amount of privacy is already limited. National security is helping to thwart people with plans to do something like 9/11 again. National security is a great thing and people should love america more. GOD BLESS

  • Privacy is best

National security is a lie they say they are looking for terrists but there not they have not found one for years all they find is what people have stolen or but very rarely that find a drug lord.

  • We want our privacy

We need our privacy based on the fourth amendment and we deserve freedom which is what our country stands for. It is a necessity and shouldn't be taken away from us by our government. We deserve it and they government should get warrants on the people who they think are terrorists

  • Privacy matters. Today and tomorrow.

https://rejectednytimes.wordpress.com/2015/01/28/privacy-matters-today-tomorrow-too/ Check this out, it's a counter argument to those who state that privacy doesn't matter to them. It's rather comprehensive, if not, conclusive to me. Anyway, just to say it again, privacy is our freedom and liberty, not something they can take away. That's ridiculous. So read it! Important.

  • No it is unconstitutional.

National security is not as important as privacy. The government should need a warent to be able to conduct surveillance on its citizens according to the 4th amendment. Also conducting surveillance is depriving life and liberty according to the 14th amendment. This is also electronically. The government looks at your texts and emails.
