  • He is super right

Foot ball is too violent . I do not really like Obama but he is right . Foot ball players have even been killed on the field ! Foot ball can cause head concussions and break bones . Foot ball makes people more violent , and they gamble about teams !

  • Football is traumatic

There are several head injuries that occur such as concussions. Everyone does know that the game involves contact, but that contact at such velocities and forces causes future alzheimers and other medical conditions not genetically inherited. It is simply too dangerous, and the rules must be change. I fully agree with Obama.

  • Yes, but adults should have choices

I believe that Obama was speaking to the fact that football can be violent and dangerous to human health. I think that more research needs to be done on how to make the sport safer, especially for younger players. In the case of professional football players, they should be well informed of the risks, but they are adults and capable of making their own decisions about safety.

  • No, Obama is TOTALLY wrong.

I know that football is not violent because like a few other people said, it's a contact sport. I agree with many people who say no. Football teaches many people sportsmanship, trustworthy, friendship, leadership, and teamwork. You see football has done so much to people, but what people need to look at is the good side. Once they do, they will be able to see that football is not violent.

  • In football you are bound to get hert anyway

Many people play in the NFL are allstars. They are good at what they do. In football you are bound to get hert or hit that's why they call it a contact sport they have pads helmets and other gear. Look at Rugby they play with no protection at all.

  • Football is a contact sport, not a violent one

Obama is wrong by stating that football is too violent. Everyone knows the game involves contact, that's why all players wear safety gear before playing.

Just because a few people get injured now and then doesn't make a sport too violent. It's all part of the game, and the way it's meant to be played.

  • He Was Wrong

I think that Obama was wrong. Football is not too violent. Anyone that plays the sport knows what they are getting into. The object of the game is to stop someone from scoring by any means necessary. The only way it would be too violent is if people were not aware of what they were getting into.
