  • No, politics is about power.

Politicians say they are all about taking care of the people but that is not true. Politics is completely a power pull. You have to think, politics is not only in the United States. It also covers Russia and North Korea; and all the other countries. Everyone is in a struggle for more power. That is why we have wars. So no, it is NOT about the people.

  • Definitely Power

Do politicians really perform rallies for the public or for rich people who can help fund their campaign? In the end the politicians are just concerned about their standing and doing what is wanted of them by their rich campaign funders. That is the main problem with America today, no longer about improving life for the citizens but filling their pockets with the almighty dollar.

  • No, it's not about people.

Once upon a time (in a land far, far away?) politics was about the voice and will of the people. These days, it is mostly about doing anything you can to get ahead and get up there for the power you'll be able to wield. Many people start with the intent to represent the people, but the political climate and what is required to get ahead in such a cut-throat business (and it IS a business) often kills off the more altruistic types.
