  • Sense of Humor

The great thing about randomness is that you don't need a sense of humor to laugh. But when people to try to be random, it isn't random. To do random things is when you see an opportunity and take it, and those opportunities are quite rare, which makes random things all the more funny.

  • Lacks development and maturity.

The new generation holds a belief that randomness and incoherentness is the new form of comedy, and instead of broadening the kinds of typical comedy, it really shrinks it. Things that would of been funny 25 years ago would not be considered funny now. Randomness, however makes it easier for something not funny to become funny. The fact that random acts done in a setting to seem unpredictable make the acts to begin with, planned and not random.

  • It has no point to it

It may be funny when you are a young child making your friends laugh at recess but now teenagers are using it when they have poor social skills or just standing there listening with nothing to say then just blurt out 'Cheese!' making their friends laugh 'Oh that was just so random'. Why is this funny? I just don't get it.

  • It really depends.

I'm more towards no but I think it depends on who is being random and how often the person is random. Yeah, it's funny when someone is random a few times but if they're doing it ALL the time then its not funny anymore. It's like an obnoxious kid being loud to look cool. No, you don't look cool, you look immature.

  • No, it's immature

Randomness is something that you generally see middle school aged children and teenagers boasting about. It isn't a funny trait to have, it's generally very annoying and a lot of times inappropriate. There is nothing funny about trying to have serious conversations or go out and do things with someone who is constantly spouting out random things.

  • It really depends on your character.

Once or twice, randomness is funny, but afterwards it isn't random anymore. If it isn't random it isn't funny. Of course, I'm not saying that other jokes can't succeed at being funny. I'm really saying that if you find randomness funny, it's funny, if you don't it gets really annoying.
