Is sueing government equivalent to sueing tax payers

  • Government should require the responsible parties to pay when it is sued

Governments are organizations. They do nothing alone. So when the government is sued for wrong-doing and loses the government should pay the person who sued and then require those individual actors responsible for its decision to pay the government the equivalent amount. That way the taxpayers aren't penalized for the actions of government bureaucrats.
