Is swimming in the ocean better than swimming in a public pool?

  • Swimming in the ocean is better

When swimming in the ocean you are able to have more space to yourself to swim if you wanted. There is a larger area to swim than in a pool that can be easily crowded. It is also cleaner. Yes people urinate in both the ocean and the pool but in a pool the pee is limited to a confined area of water, but in an ocean there are waves and water movement to take it away. Also pools have to be cleaned and treated with chemicals while the ocean pretty much cleans itself and doesn't require chemicals to keep it clean. And obviously there's the fact that you are in nature when swimming in the ocean! You get to enjoy a view, and find amusement in the wave that normally are associated with the ocean. Swimming in the ocean is obviously better than swimming in a public pool!

  • I agree that swimming in the ocean is better than apublic pool

I agree because in a public pool have many germs frrom other people, and even in an oceans there are oils, of course it wont be opened for us to swim there and even someone found a place but has many oils in it they will try to clean it but if it cant be clean they wont let us swim we only can enjoy the view.....

  • Yes It is

I think that it would be because it would probably be more sanitary to swim in the ocean rather than a public pool that who knows how many people have swam in. Public pools could be a bio hazard if some one were to urinate in it or if they have a disease.

  • Oceans are dangerous.

Rip currents kill more people yearly than bush fires, cyclones, and floods. Also, the oil in the ocean gets broken up, which makes it far more dangerous than when it isn't broken up. Oceans are horrible because you can step on lobsters, crabs, and very hard and sharp shells. I hate oceans!!!!

  • The ocean stinks like shit man and it has poop every where and it has germs of shit animals!!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Man the pool is better because it dosent have poop like the ocean man and pools have diapers every where man and pools have life guards and oceans dont have none what happens if you are drowning in the ocean and they don't see you like in 3 minutes you would be upside down your butt out of the ocean!!!!!!

  • Swimming in pools are much, much better.

While swimming pools are kept clean, there is a lot of trash and pollution in the ocean.
Over 300 billion pounds of plastic are floating around in the ocean. No one wants to swim in such a place like that. Where a swimming pool has chemicals to keep it clean, the ocean is filled with a lot of bacteria that no one enjoys. A couple of years ago in 2010, there was a massive oil spill. That’s the amount of 102 high school gyms could have been filled from the amount of oil that was potentially spilled. Oil has spilled- harming animals, and humans could be harmed too. Again, swimming pools are kept clean.

  • No it is the same.

They both can be pretty dirty and have germs all over the place.Swiming in a public pool you only have to worry about other people, but in the ocean you could step on a bug or fish or something crazy like that. However, the beach is pretty to be at and see.
