  • I don't think there's ANYTHING good coming from it.

Im 29 years old and I'm a techno geek. I love technology, but the reality is the significant impacts it has had on the economy and society as a whole. It has obsoleted many small businesses (while creating other industries like software developement). However, the negative impact far exceeds any benefit of positive outcome from new industries because technology has made competition too fierce and spread profits so thin to the point of counter-intuity. Next, technology has created a dissociate society; social interaction is simulated thru Facebook, and social reclusiveness has become normal. And of course technology has of course contributed to the fattening of people.

  • Technology is ruining our economy!

I think it has made obesity increase and has made our country lazy. With technology, now, students can make good grades effortlessly, because they can easily search for solutions for any kind of problem they come across in various search engines. Technology has made cheating simpler than ever before, with minimum probability of getting caught. For instance, students allowed to use a calculator in a particular test, can write a program on it that contains all the answers and formulas that they need to pass the exam. Another example is that a student can take a picture of their homework and send it via email or SMS to their friends, who copy it and submit as their own. Thus, technology has made it easier for students to cheat in the exams with minimal chances of getting caught. Technology increases the unemployment rate across the nation and world.

  • Think about this

Has anyone considered that technology is making the economy, especially the unemployment rate, worse? Technology has enabled us to do a job with one man, which used to take 20. Because this is happening everywhere, low labor jobs have become a lot scarcer than they used to. All the new engineering jobs aren't completely making up for it if you haven't noticed.

  • Yes in a way

It has made our economy worse because it has made us lazy. People are starting to just expect things because we just give it to them. The generation that is growing up is just expecting to get things instead of working hard to earn them. This has all made our economy worse in a way.

  • By your self

How are you supposed to talk to your family in other countries without technology are you gonna walk no! Its way to far instead of just sitten on the couch watching tv texting yo gma i dont want to write any more words i got this covered bro jo jo

  • Technology has changed the way we think about the world.

I think technology is helping the economy now are able to buy items, clothes, snacks on the internet because of technology. If you think about it, even at stores what helps us have less burglaries? Technology, we have HD security cameras catching criminals faces, technology helping us learn about new things in our environment. So no technology is making our lives better. I think if we have more variety of technology than it will be for the good of

  • No it is not

I do not think that technology is making the economy worse. It might get rid of a few jobs because a machine can do it faster and or better. But we still need people to work. Technology is mostly making us more efficient. It does menial jobs and frees up bodies to do work that technology can't do.

  • More jobs created

Yes it does lower the rate of unemployment but also in a sense creates more jobs. The more it advances the more new things are created the more its created the more jobs there are for people who are willing to go into that filled as it advances. More things come into play for the world including more jobs.

  • Technology helps boost the economy.

With increase in technology, we can perform tasks that were previously next to impossible to perform. Yes it decreases the number of human labourers needed but this can be turned in the economy's favour by increasing production output many-fold and as a result increasing labour required too. We can perform difficult tasks with ease and there are certain jobs which can require the same number of people as before technology was brought into it but the difference is that the task is easier to do. If it wasn't for science and technology, we would still be stuck in the stone age with rocks. Technology has, is and will continue to help us evolve into an advanced race of living beings.

  • New Technologies Create New Jobs

Technology helps humans make complex calculations and perform tasks that humans wouldn't be able to perform without an extraordinary effort. Computers, cell phones and portable devices help humans keep in touch instantly with each other and with machines. New technology creates new industries and new jobs that otherwise wouldn't have happened. Technology makes the economy better, if anything.

  • No.

Technology makes the economy much, much better. Entire industries are based off technology alone, and I'm sure it would hurt the economy greatly to be bereft of the computer industry, the automobile industry, the cellphone industry, etc. etc. Add to that that even industries that aren't inherently technological use technology to improve their output, and it is clear that technology is making the economy better, not worse.

  • Technology gives a lot of jobs to the entire world and can be public some day

Technology gives jobs in a lot of ways. Video game designers and programmers, popular sites where advertising makes a BIG part of Internet.

I have this idea that government can offer free (average) computers, that come in tax, then they can use only Internet and stuff, that should make money to the government and gives more and more jobs.

As technology grows, it will keep helping people get into a new world. Economy by its side, they will reach the top of the world.
