Is television an effective way to build the minds of children?

  • I think TV has helped in creative thinking

TV has helped in the evolving of the human mind not only has TV do this
but it helps children make decisions that they may not be able to tell their parents
and as children are getting more and more intelligent i think use as parents have to make sure children watch the positive ways of life to try and make the world a positive place it the little you do that makes a big mark on tomorrow.

  • Social media is the best

You can connect with your friend if there are some good information you can share it with your friend instead of going till his house good programs can help children to change their behavior and attitude for good social media can have a positive influence on kids much of children programming can develop their imagination some children don't know how to read so they can take help of entertainment that is the easy way to learn

  • It totally is!

Some shows can help young children learn about lots of different things. I think television is one of the worst things for a child's mind. Television is okay in moderation, but is no replacement for one-on-one interaction with a child, which is absolutely essential for development. Without it, a child simply cannot learn how to cope with real-world problems and social situations. Television reduces a kid's attention span, contributes to obesity, and teaches them to be passive.

  • Its good young ones

Some programs like Nick Jr provide young children who are just learning to talk with new words and vocabularies which they can use in their day to day lives as the grow up. Nothing is better than watching a young one grow up with knowledge. Thanks and may God bless all

  • It is not.

Maybe, somehow, television can provide some useful information for children, today's television is totally wrong way to build their minds. Because modern television contains a lot of useless and wrong information. Moreover it makes many children dull, it distracts their minds from independent thinking forcing some inappropriate stereotypes by overshowing negative images. To educate and to build the minds of children today it can be much more effectively to make the children read wise books and use Internet rather than to watch the TV.

  • Television , The soul responsible for destruction of a nimble mind .

As the studies say , children's mind is like a clay , which can be molded into any form when instructed by an adult . But when it comes to kids watching TV , it isn't acceptable because of the following points listed below ........
    1. It destroys personal social communication
    2. It makes a child lazy and dumb
    3. Destroys eyesight
    4. Molds the mind in a WRONG way
    5. And so watching TV becomes addictive which is not a good sign
so with these following points i would like to conclude that watching TV harmful and dangerous.

  • Tv is an idiot box..

I am completely against TV. In my opinion is doesn't help in building up the child's mind instead it is just distracting the children's mind from other important thing suc as their studies. At an early age, kids should be read to and they should interact with adults frequently and personally in order to learn.

  • The television does not help to build the minds of children.

The television is filled with all sorts of useless things. Most of the children sit in front of this for two or three hours and waste their time. Watching the television for long hours can also damage our eyes. You can say that by watching educational programmes, you get plenty of knowledge. But why can't you get that same knowledge by reading a book? Books won't damage your eyesight.

  • Not in excess.

TV is good in moderation, but too much TV has the opposite effect. Children need other forms of entertainment, like reading and/or being read to, drawing and painting, listening to music, running around and playing with toys and other kids. Doing nothing but watching TV can and will make kids lazy and weak-minded and could probably be detrimental to social skills. This doesn't mean you shouldn't let kids watch TV at all, of course, but keep it in moderation, and have things like toys. Because toys are probably the best way for a child to build their mind.

  • No.

The television can be useful in entertainment, SOME education, and news, but education upon itself is not included within a daily television channel. The television was created for entertainment, not making kids more smart. In some ways more than one, a television would be considered educational, but my opinion states clearly that TV is supposed to be used for entertainment, but it will not be very useful in educational purposes.

  • No.

Television is an effective way to build some parts of the minds of children, but by itself at this current time television isn't enough to fully develop a child. Children need more life experience than just sitting in front of a screen to fully develop, and so while television can be helpful for some things, children still need to get away from it now and again.

  • I disagree that television is an effective way to build the minds of children, because it is not enough.

Television does not provide enough two-way interaction for children. It does not offer enough opportunity for a child to develop proper motor skills, speech function or critical thinking. Also, it may hinder their attention span, with the excessive colors and noise gimmicks meant to cheaply draw a child's attention to the screen.
