The ACLU doesn't just defend criminals. The organization helps ensure people's civil liberties are upheld as per the U.S. Constitution. If the ACLU is a pro-criminal organization, how come it doesn't defend everyday criminals who face charges regarding vehicles, bad checks and domestic violence? The ACLU does the public a service when the government fails to do so.
I do not believe the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is pro-criminal. The ACLU does not approve of going "soft" on crime, but they do believe in fair, just law enforcement and the rights of every individual to have a fair trial under due process rights. The ACLU believe in upholding the 4th Amendment.
