Is the attitude, behavior and response of modern-day students diminishing the spirit and enthusiasm of the teachers to teach with dedication?
  • Yes teacher dedication is being diminished by students.

The attitude of todays students works to diminish the hard work and dedication that many teachers put in on a regular basis.Teachers find it hard to do their job if students are not cooperative at all and refuse to put any extra time or work into the process that may change the rest of their lives.

  • Standardized testing and dumbed down curriculum are detracting from teacher dedication.

Every generation thinks the next is just a little bit less well behaved and rebellious than the next. For this reason, teachers have thought they had students with poor attitudes and behavior problems for as long as there have been students. It, therefore, stands to reason that it is not the attitudes and behavioral problems of students that are becoming discouraging to teachers, but the excessive bureaucracy of standardized testing and dumbed down curriculums that don't actually allow them to teach.
