I have heard about the chakra system and some people who swear that it really works and should be implemented. However, American physicians do not give any credit to this system and do not promote it at all. Therefore, it is obviously overlooked for other more conventional medications and remedies.
The chakra system began in India as an understanding of energy and how it affects the human body. If western doctors knew more about this kind of energetic healing, it could complement rather than replace the medicine they now practice and that would bring more comfort and well being to their patients.
The Chakra System is not used in the United States. It's not a matter of overlooking it or discarding it all together, it's the fact that the American health care system is American. You got in tell the doctor what's wrong and chances are you walk out with a prescription ten minutes later. The American health care system doesn't really care about the patient, as long as they can keep them alive, there's no time to actually talk to a patient, much less would they take the time to explain the Chakra System.
The chakra system is overlooked for good reason in the medical community. Indian philosophy is not a form of scientific healing, no matter how many people follow it. Often, people heal naturally or by the placebo effect. Many people have false faith in traditional medicine which do not actually work.
The chakra system of healing is not too often overlooked or discarded altogether by American physicians. Most doctors know about this system but modern medicine outweighs the benefits of the use of this system. I think that if you believe in it and want to practice using it then that should be up to you.
