  • It is fair

People deserve it. They will get out of jail and just keep on killing, its not something you cant stop it. There aren't a bunch of crimes that list for death penalty but the few there are is what the people deserve for doing what they did. Plus, its a fair way not like we are torturing them to death or something.

  • Absolutely and 100 percent fair!

For those who commit the ugliest crimes and give themselves the right to prey on others to torture and kill them; they deserve a worse punishment than just a death penalty. They should be tortured the same way they have done to their victims then have their lives taken away from them as well.

  • I think it is fair in very extreme cases.

I think that the death penalty is used way too much, but in some cases it is necessary. Some people are just truly evil and don't deserve to live anymore. If someone gets life in prison, then tax payers have to pay for him to live a cozy life until he dies. What kind of punishment is that really?

  • Fair for the worst of the worst

The death penalty, when it comes to the worst of the worst criminals, is a fair form of punishment. Unfortunately there are people in this world who are set on doing evil and will not stop until someone stops them. Serial rapists and killers frequently fall into this category and if it were not for the death penalty would either sit in prison until the day they die, wasting tax payers money, or be released early to continue to pray on innocent people. Why allow this to happen?

  • Death penalty should should be done

  • Death Penalty is Most Just Option

While there is nothing that can bring the victim back to life, Capital Punishment is the next best thing because it inflicts a proportional punishment against the murderer(s). "He who spills the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed." This principal holds true throughout time; those guilty of murder must pay their price in their own blood.

  • Yes the death penalty is super fair

The death penalty is super fair because they are putting heinous criminals in jail for committing hienous crimes that go against society. These people dont deserve a second chance they decieded to commit this type of crime and they suffer the cost of their crimes. If you think that they deserve a second chance think about the victims of these criminals and think who really deserves a second chance.

  • It iz fair

The death penalty is the only appropriate punishment for the horrible, evil, crime, of taking an innocent person's life. The murderer causes great pain and suffering to the family and friends of the victim. The death penalty brings justice to those who are suffering. Murderers EARN the death penalty because of their actions.

  • The Death Penalty Is Not Fair

The death penalty is not a fair punishment. I'd go as far as saying that it is immoral. Taking a life is wrong no matter how you look at it. There are many more options and resources that could be utilized in these types of situations. Nobody deserves to have their life taken, not even criminals.

  • Death penalty ,degrading of human rights

Death penalty is a way of taking one's life for a person who is not present that person can't come back if we take life of that person's murderer . Murderer must be given a 2nd chance so that he would improve is self or change his attention so plz raise rights against these inhuman acts thanks

  • The death penalty should be banned, because it is cruel and unusual, too expensive, and it is not enough punishment.

“Nearly a quarter of the inmates on death row in the U.S. die of natural causes while awaiting execution or appealing their cases.” (https://www.Balancedpolitics.Org/death_penalty.Htm) This is too long for people to wait, just knowing that they are going to die. The death penalty should be banned, because it is cruel and unusual, too expensive, and it is not enough punishment.
The death penalty is too expensive. “Cases without the death penalty cost $740,000, while cases where the death penalty is sought cost $1.26 million. Maintaining each death row prisoner costs taxpayers $90,000 more per year than a prisoner in general population. There are 714 inmates on California's death row.” (https://deathpenaltyinfo.Org/costs-why-death-penalty-costs-so-much)
The death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment. “The American Civil Liberties Union believes the death penalty inherently violates the constitutional ban against cruel and unusual punishment and the guarantees of due process of law and of equal protection under the law. Furthermore, we believe that the state should not give itself the right to kill human beings – especially when it kills with premeditation and ceremony, in the name of the law or in the name of its people, and when it does so in an arbitrary and discriminatory fashion.” (https://www.Aclu.Org/other/case-against-death-penalty)
The death penalty is not enough punishment. “Prisoners and prison personnel do not suffer a higher rate of criminal assault and homicide from life-term prisoners in abolition states than they do in death-penalty states. Between 1992 and 1995, 176 inmates were murdered by other prisoners. The vast majority of those inmates (84%) were killed in death penalty jurisdictions. During the same period, about 2% of all inmate assaults on prison staff were committed in abolition jurisdictions. Evidently, the threat of the death penalty "does not even exert an incremental deterrent effect over the threat of a lesser punishment in the abolitionist states." Furthermore, multiple studies have shown that prisoners sentenced to life without parole have equivalent rates of prison violence as compared to other inmates." (https://www.Aclu.Org/other/case-against-death-penalty)

  • The 💀 penalty is almost always unfair

The death penalty is almost always unfair, and is only acceptable (in my opinion) if the convict has asked to be put on death row, and if they have not requested it, they should be imprisoned in a maximum security prison on a life scentence as to is inhumane to take a persons life unless they have asked for it, possibly as a way for them to atone for their sins or to try and earn forgiveness for their acts.

  • People deserve a second chance

People who kill someone and go to jail and get on death row could still find god and change we jump the gun to kill people with the death penalty. The government is wasting millions and millions of dollars every month with the death row cases but don't see that there is no justice being served and the person who kills the the guy and or girl how do you live with yourself that he/her killed someone for enjoyment.

  • This is Inhumane

Just lock them up in prison! Just think how inhumane it is to kill someone no matter what they have done. It is actually cheaper to sentence prisoners to life in prison rather than send them to the death row. People who commit crimes serious enough to be in the death row will be guarded well enough so that they do not cause any more harm.

  • Where their is life, their is hope

Why kill? Why take someone's life when we didnt give it to them, its unfair its like ending a book halfway through the story, or like spilling paint on an unfinished canvas, creating something that is of no value to anyone but what if they finished their story with a positive ending or the canvas becoming beautifull art work, what im trying to say is that we will never know how their story will end without letting them live it

It's hard for me to say. To be honest, I think some people deserve worse than death for what they've done while they're still alive. I know criminals are killed to try and deter others from committing the same crime and also being killed. However, it doesn't punish the criminal in my opinion. Once they're dead, that's it. They're done with.

I think if they've committed some horrible crime (e.G. Genocide, Serial Rape, Serial Homicides, etc.) Then they deserve much worse than just death.
