  • The electoral college was laid out in the constitution.

The US is a constitutional republic, which means the people choose individuals to represent their will. The electoral college was designed by the founders so that those who live in smaller states (Wyoming and Kansas) aren't completely overruled by those living in very highly populated cities (like Miami and New York City) in everything. The electoral college was created to prevent tyranny of the majority. It is explicitly written into the constitution.

  • This doesn't even make sense

The electoral college is the election system used to select a president that was written in the constitution. How can something be unconstitutional if it was written in the original document? So it is completely, 100% constitutional until congress decides to amend it out of the constitution and replace it with a different system. (those last 6 words are important)
