Is the FDA too cozy with the industries it should monitoring?

    Lobbying regulation prevent the FDA from being "controlled"by companies.Lobbyists can give money
    to influence those they believe would pass legislation that supports their own goals,but they cannot directly control anybody.The FDA also receives lobbying money from several special interest groups,
    some of them being environmental foundations and farmer action groups.
