The media no longer can be trusted in society. It used to be great for America because it would inform the public on what situations are going on. Now, each media station only reports on what they report on and doesn't report on anything that will go against their political opinions. Therefore, it is making society corrupt.
Oh, definitely yes. There are hardly any limits whatsoever on the things they will allow in the mainstream media these days, and so there is a lot of stuff that is seeping out there now that formerly the censors would not allow. The more this happens, the less of a "shock factor" there is on a lot of things. Where formerly people would be shocked by vulgarity or even partial nudity in things, everyone is getting so used to this now so they're all sort of blasé about it. People seem to push the censors more and more because of this, and worse and worse things are being allowed to be shown and heard.
But I don't think that means we need to censor the media. I think that as people, we need to remind ourselves of what is the most important thing out there. I think it's vital for us to focus not upon the media, but to focus on ourselves and providing goodness for those around us.
The media while always have an influence swaying public opinion and a country's culture. The media, in terms of the broadcast news, has been corrosive on the trends that get set. However, we currently live in age where everything is moving digital. Online media is so vast that it is a vastly different monster than television.
Just look at the bias of media pundits. There is no integrity. Media injects themselves into the story much to often and begins to believe that they are the story. Money and power has corrupted the media. When you have 1400 media organizations controlled by six companies, it wrong. If you control the message then you can control the masses.
All types of media have an agenda. All media sources often refuse to even talk about certain stories because of their political bias. They refuse and censor certain things because politicians and wealthy business owners pay media to tell them what they want to hear. Many viewers are unaware that the media has an agenda that they want you to believe. Any thing even if it 100% true, the media will refuse to talk about it will conflict with their agenda. The media likes to push a narrative that white on black crime for example is this big thing that everyone should worry about and show cops as racists while refusing to show that most who were killed by the cops were people who did not listen, commit crimes, threaten cops, etc. The media refuses to talk about black on black crime, because it benefits by keeping people upset rather than giving the people a more accurate understanding because the more people are angry the more stories are created to push their narrative further. The media does not care about the truth, they only care about pushing the narrative into the minds of viewers, and making money. If you must use the media as a source, take what they say with a grain of salt and use multiple sources many of which are not mainstream. Do not be afraid to listen to stories that conflict with your world view. They might be the ones that are true.
Within the past 20 years we've seen news outlets turn from bad to worse. Although there has always been bias in reporting, it has never been this bad. In 2012 President Obama was able to repeal portions of the Smith-Mundt act of 1948. For decades, the Smith-Mundt Act (so-called anti-propaganda law) prevented the U.S. government's mammoth broadcasting arm from delivering programming to American audiences. This all changed in 2012 when the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 was signed into law. The US Government's propaganda machine is far stretching and controlled by non other than the US Secretary of State. The effects of this change can be seen by tuning into almost any news channel and observing how they're covering the current election. It's a disgrace and it needs to be changed.
Karl Marx and Che Guevara are laughing at us. The media is literally giving blow jobs to the Clintons who are the sleaziest most unfit and corrupt people in history. They make Al Capone look compassionate and honest
They are the royalty that the media bows to and our children are being brainwashed in the idiot factories that pass for schools in this nation

All you have to do is watch how Donald Trump is treated. He is trying to get the American people to see how corrupt the media is and the people who control the media. One must ask why this is? It has everything to do with controlling the world's currency in the case of George Soros and to try developing a "new world order". This is the goal of the secret Bilderberg gathering which in my view should be illegal due to the fact that it is a terrorist group hell bent on molding the world in their vision. This is not the will of the masses but the will of the rich elites. I hope the world wakes up and sees the deception.
Media is a major weapon of control and was used in Nazi Germany. It has taken on a different form today. Instead of preaching hate and condoning violence it has metamorphosed into using political correctness to manipulate people. What has happened to the world is reverse discrimination and tolerance to people destined to destroy democracy (radical Islam).
Society is an entity on its own, and media is just a tool to help society grow as a unit. (Social) Media has helped with donations, awareness's, and connecting human beings together that has never been done before in all of life on earth. I don't believe the media is corrupting society, but SOME of society is not using this tool for the greater good and rather using it to feed the narrow minded.
No, media is not corrupting modern society. Media is a reflection of society. While it can also influence society, media is primarily a mirror of the state of society. If media is depraved, it could indicate society is depraved, but it does not indicate that the media is what caused this depravity.
