Yes, the new Tesla Model S is the most state of the art car. Tesla is known for creating ingenious and energy efficient cars. With this newest model, the Tesla Model S, they have outdone themselves. They have made a car that is both aesthetically appealing and extremely energy efficient.
To bring up the New York Times hit-piece that Tesla *proved* was fraudulent as evidence against it is the cherry on the farce sundae. Is it April 1st somewhere?
We were told by such Very Serious People(TM) that the Roadster wouldn't sell - it did. We were told Tesla was doomed - apparently, it wasn't. We were told it would never bring Model S to market - it did. We were told it wouldn't be able to ramp up production - it has. We were told the Model S wouldn't sell - it did. We were told it would be a dud - it's arguably the best car ever made. We were told Tesla wouldn't go public - it did. We were told the stock would be worthless - it's 10x where it started. On, and on, and on.
Tesla won. Get over it.
There are several arguments to made for the Tesla, and the S is the most state of the art car offered by that particular company. New model Mercedes and some other brands though are still worlds ahead of where the new Tesla is in terms of motor power and features not offered by Tesla.
It depends on what you consider “state of the art.” The model is the fastest car, but that doesn’t mean that it is the most innovative car in the industry. To me, a “state of the art” car is the one that can protect its drivers and passengers. It’s the one that has the most safety technology in place.
