  • NRA is Right

Not like being right always wins the populist support, in this case overwhelming evidence is on their side. Only focusing on "gun violence" is helpful to the left-wing push; while their examples (UK being a great one) are over twice as violent and have a MUCH higher chance of actually becoming a victim of violent crime. Any actual statistical study that doesn't just corroborate your view will help to see that the left is fighting an emotional, not factual, battle.

  • Nra is a great organization

The problem is not with guns its with the criminals and islam... The president will never admit this because he is a muslim. If they ban guns we will see crime spike and we will see the same kind of disorder that is happening over in Europe with muslims running wild raping, stealing, robbing, assaulting innocent people. They choose soft targets such as gun free zones and countries with strict gun laws. If you want a gun free utopia move to Europe or Chicago where gun control has proven it will not work and criminals will be the only ones with guns and innocent law abiding citizens are at the criminals mercy.

  • The NRA Will Always Win

The NRA is the oldest civil rights group in the US.
The worlds leader in the safe handling and operation of firearms.
Has higher favorability ratings than both Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Five million dues paying members along with tens of millions of supporters and their families.

The NRA is the number one defender of the Second Amendment.

The very fact that the NRA attracts so much attention from the far left clearly demonstrates just what a effective organization they are.

  • NRA Winning Argument

We should have the right to bare arms. If i set a gun against a wall its not going to get up and shoot the next person it dosent like. People Kill People! And we need to learn to teach our children right and teach them morals . Teach them whats right and whats wrong ,tell them its not ok to bring a gun to school. Its not the guns fault we choose such bad actions. But we should get mentally tested to make sure we can handle guns and if not then you cant own one.

  • The NRA Wins

The NRA is winning because the argument of the anti-gunner always leads to taking all guns. They say they want to ban so called assault rifles because they are so deadly but less than 323 people a year are killed with these guns. So it is obvious that they want to ban all guns. Also they claim they want to lower the amount of bullets a magazine can hold but give no reasoning for the amount they want. Now in NY city the amount of bullets in a rifle has been limited to 5 and in NY State the amount of bullets they allow in a self defense gun is 7. It is obvious they are going to 1 bullet in your magazine! They claim they want to stop felons from getting guns but now are banning people that have never committed even a small crime from owning a gun! This they do through the background check. The more the anti-gunners present their case the more they show they want to ban "all" guns and that is why the NRA is winning the gun debate hands down.

  • Yes they are but!!!

My question is do they really want to prevail in the clear light of the Constitution. Of course they don't. If Constitutional carry, without infringement of any kind, became a reality overnight the NRA would no longer be viable. Big business with a product that must have a shelf life. About as cut and dry as the 2nd Amendment itself. Surely their board of directors have considered this. Just a surely most members have not..

  • Civil Rights Always Win

It's simple really, the NRA is arguing from a position that is inherently a strong one for the American people. They are arguing a negative right which include freedom of speech, property rights, freedom of religion and freedom of association. The NRA is arguing that the government has no right telling a citizen what tools are acceptable for their own self defense.

In contrast the gun control movement has argued from two different weaker positions. One was that the negative right granted by the 2nd amendment did not exist i.e. the argument that only militia members may own guns. That argument, which lacked the dozens of letters and public speeches from the founding fathers that the NRA's argument had, has lost.

The remaining argument is that the 2nd amendment can be restricted provided that there is a compelling enough reason to do so. The reason put forward is that restricting gun rights will improve public safety. This hasn't definitely been proved in either case, there are numerous studies that refute/contradict the gun control v gun rights arguments. There is also the anecdotal evidence concerning the decreasing murder and crime rates despite the continued proliferation of guns. Because of that the argument becomes boiled down to one group arguing against civil rights as it is encoded in the constitution and those arguing against civil rights generally lose; just look at the gay rights movement.

  • Yep NRA is Winning

NRA members defeated the assault weapons ban, background checks and took out three members of the Colorado senate all in an election OFF YEAR. More States have liberalized gun laws than tightened them since Sandy Hook. Guns have been flying off the shelves into Citizen's hands. The direction is clearly away from gun control.

  • I believe that the NRA is losing the gun control battle.

I believe that the NRA is losing the gun control battle. There are too many people in the world who want to try and put the blame on an object, instead of on the person who is misusing the object. Guns arent the issue, the darkness that is in the heart of some human beings is the issue.

  • The NRA aren't accomplishing anything.

The National Rifle Association is, in fact, not even relevant in the so-called "gun control battle." They make a fortune off gun owners with fake persecution complexes and then pay lip service at lobbying, because they know that no one is really going to come and take their guns. The NRA is a sham.

  • NRA is gun manufacturers organization

People are realizing the NRA is just an organization to promote selling as many guns as possible. They only promote education as a front to their real agenda. They do anything possible to keep people buying guns and they WANT everyone to buy more guns, including criminals and those with mental problems. If we could magically make guns available only to law abiding citizens, the NRA would fight against any such law.

  • No, NRA is not winning the gun control battle.

As more and more innocent people are killed, more are discouraged with the second amendment. Of course, it is one of our rights, but there is a fine line with any issue and this line has been crossed. The Newtown tragedy was a red flag. There was even a case towards the end of 2012 in Indianapolis involving an accidental shooting- one that ended up with a deceased 15-year old boy. These "accidents" are preventable.

  • Less and less

The NRA stranglehold is doing nothing but constantly dwindle. The vocal leaders of the NRA have exposed themselves even more emphatically than before to be dangerously insane, heartless monsters. Even while membership rises it's in protest towards the government, not in support of the idiots running this organization. Their influence is fading, they will go down swinging but this is something they will ultimately lose.

  • No, it doesn't look like it

I think the NRA is trying to play things too aggressive. When human emotions are involved, any aggressive action will play on those emotions. The harder the NRA pushes, the harder people are going to be pushing back. It seems that at the moment, what with all the issues with guns, people are getting angrier at the NRA's response.
